In 1996, Judge Royce Lewellen joined forces to form Lucas & Lewellen vineyards, a venture that continues to acquire premium vineyards and grow and sell grapes of the highest quality.

It was Memorial Day weekend in the historic Old West mining town of Durango, located on the western slope of the Rocky Mountains in southwestern Colorado.
